The phone would ring every day from [Another HVAC company]asking me to have my air conditioning maintained for $35.00. This one day I said yes, as my home was up for sale, I thought it would be a good idea. The technician came the next day, and after a good inspection, told me that my a/c was in very bad condition and was full of holes, but as I was selling he could give me a deal on last years model for $4,100.00 fully installed. I agreed and they would do the work in 5 days.

I mentioned this to friends in the park, who told me that this was very expensive and I should get a second opinion. The next day I called superior to cancel, and they were not very pleasant, and then I called “Fischer” asking for an annual maintenance check, without telling them about [Another HVAC company].

The tech came and did a thorough inspection for about an hour, and to my surprise told me that my a/c and heating system was in excellent condition, he was amazed that it was 16 years old, all he had to do was clean it and change the filter, this cost me $59.99, of course I was delighted. I have also told the Better Business Bureau about this incident. I hope that this obvious malpractice by [Another HVAC company] catches no one else, I have learned my lesson, and it pays to shop around.
